Slop Inventory · free, in your browser
A free alternative to an inventory spreadsheet
Keep the simplicity of a sheet, with the stock maths done for you: every receipt, sale, transfer and count is a movement, so on-hand figures add up and the history is there.

How to do it
- Save your sheet as CSV with the columns SKU, Name, Price, and optionally EAN and Reorder level, in any order.
- In the Data tab choose Import products from CSV… The preview counts new and updated products and lists any row with a problem; nothing is written until every row is right.
- In the Stock tab, Receive the quantities you have, at each location.
- Record sales, adjustments and transfers as they happen, or scan them with a barcode scanner.
- See Stock value, Low stock and Stock value by product in Reports, and choose Export product list (CSV) when you need the sheet again.
A row whose SKU already exists updates that product, so you can keep editing prices in your spreadsheet and import again. An export imports back as it is.
Your files stay on this device: Slop Inventory runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.
Questions
Will my spreadsheet columns be understood?
The import reads SKU, EAN, Name, Price and Reorder level in any column order, with commas or semicolons. A file with a wrong row is refused as a whole and the report says which row and why.
How is stock value worked out?
On hand times the selling price, before tax. There is no cost price in this version, so it is a value at selling price.
Where is the data kept?
In this browser on this device, shared with Slop Orders and Slop Purchases. Nothing is uploaded. Download a full backup from the Data tab to keep a copy.
