Slop Recorder · free, in your browser

A Loom alternative that keeps the video on your computer

Loom records your screen and camera and keeps the video in its cloud for sharing. Slop Recorder does the recording part in your browser and leaves the file with you: no account, no upload.

Start recording

How to do it

  1. Open Slop Recorder and choose Screen + webcam, or Screen alone.
  2. Set the countdown and tick the microphone.
  3. Press Record, pick what to share, and record. Pause when you need to.
  4. Trim the ends and save the file, or open it in SlopCut to edit it further.

There is no share link: the file is yours to send or upload where you like. For a link others can watch, upload the saved file to your own video or file service.

Your files stay on this device: Slop Recorder runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. Slop Recorder runs in your browser with no sign-up, and the recording is never uploaded.

Is there a time limit?

No limit is set by the app. Very long recordings need memory and disk space on your computer, as the file is kept until you save it.

How do I share the video?

Save it, then send it or upload it to the service you use. Slop Recorder makes no share links.
