Make an SSCC pallet label
Retailers and warehouses ask for a GS1 logistic label on each pallet. SlopLabel has a GS1-128 pallet label template with the SSCC, product and batch data, and checks the application identifiers as you type.

How to do it
- Choose File > New… and the GS1-128 pallet label (SSCC) template.
- Fill in the SSCC body, GTIN, count, batch and best-before date, or import them from a CSV for many pallets.
- The SSCC check digit is worked out for you, and each AI is checked for length and format.
- Print on a 4×6" or 100×150 mm thermal label, or export ZPL for a Zebra printer.
GS1 data is typed with the AIs in brackets, such as (00)… for the SSCC, (02)… for the content GTIN, (37)… for the count, (10)… for the batch and (15)… for the best-before date. GS1 QR Code and GS1 DataMatrix are there too.
Your files stay on this device: SlopLabel runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.
Questions
What is an SSCC?
The Serial Shipping Container Code: an 18-digit number that identifies one pallet or parcel. It starts with your GS1 company prefix and ends with a check digit.
Does it check my GS1 data?
Yes. Each application identifier is checked for its length, digits and dates, and missing check digits are added while wrong ones are reported.
Do I need a GS1 company prefix?
Yes. Real SSCCs and GTINs must use a prefix your company gets from GS1; SlopLabel builds the codes but does not issue numbers.
