KML to GPX converter
Plan a route in Google Earth or My Maps, then load it into a GPS watch or a hiking app.
Accepts
KML map file (.kml). Other file types are not converted on this page; the File convert hub takes every kind it knows.
How to convert
- Step 1 reads every placemark of the KML into GeoJSON: points, lines, polygons and tracks, with names and descriptions.
- Step 2 writes GPX 1.1: points become waypoints and lines become tracks. An area has no GPX form, so its outline becomes a track, and the status line counts them.
Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser, and the file is never sent to Slopographic or to any other server.
Questions
Can I keep the GeoJSON made in between?
Yes. Open Options and tick Also keep the in-between files: it is listed with the result.
Are my files uploaded?
